Notes about Le Pere Lucien – Italian Barbershop Shaving Soap from our testing team
Italian Barbershop is a limited edition shaving soap made by LPL (Le Pere Lucien) and was specially made for Italian Facebook group.
Compared to other LPL soaps it is relatively softer.
Lightly scented, and the dominant notes come from cinnamon and lemon making it warm with a kick of freshness. The ‘from nature herbal type of ‘ scent profile is very typical to LPL. The overall blend is very refreshing and only comes to life when wet and turns into warmer notes when making lather.
Italian Barbershop by LPL is exactly the type of soaps I like that only and truly reveal its true face when worked into a lather.
The usual almond size drop will give plenty of protective lather for several passes. Lather has a medium slickness and below medium residual slickness making it easy to rinse off.
Overall an excellent shaving soap that reveals its uniquely warm notes when wet.
